[Configuring Data Pipeline](https://help.intentwise.com/intentwise-analytics-cloud?hsLang=en#configuring-data-pipeline) # How to Configure Microsoft SQL Database Server ## Learn how to configure Microsoft SQL Database Server with Intentwise Analytics Cloud by following this step-by-step guide.  Steps for configuring Microsoft SQL Database Server with Intentwise Analytics Cloud 1. Create a new database in Microsoft SQL Server. You can pick any name for the database. 2. If your database is behind a firewall, please whitelist the following IP addresses. This is necessary for the Intentwise data pipeline to access your database. - 52.25.90.16 - 34.216.244.114/32 - 52.68.49.96/32 - 52.26.72.39/32 - 52.48.81.207/32 - 54.86.110.101/32 - 52.64.101.124/32 - 52.74.180.132/32 - 18.196.243.206/32 - 35.160.115.182/32 - 35.162.125.75/32 3. Create any new user with the \ in your Microsoft SQL Server database. 4. Create the following new schemas within the database: - amazon\_source\_data - intentwise\_ecommerce\_graph - amazon\_marketing\_cloud (*recommended if you are currently using or intend to use Amazon Marketing Cloud*) - criteo\_source\_data (*recommended if you are currently using or intend to use Criteo*) - instacart\_source\_data (*recommended if you are currently using or intend to use Instacart*) - walmart\_source\_data (*recommended if you are currently using or intend to use Walmart*) 5. Set **amazon\_source\_data** as the default schema for the user created in step #3 by using this query: - ALTER USER intentwise\_user WITH DEFAULT\_SCHEMA = amazon\_source\_data; 6. Grant read/write permissions for the user created in step #3 by using these queries: - GRANT ALL ON amazon\_source\_data TO intentwise\_user; - GRANT ALL ON intentwise\_ecommerce\_graph TO intentwise\_user; *Replace intentwise\_user with the name of the user you created in step #3.* 7. Create an Azure **Storage Account**. The Storage Account serves as a temporary folder during the data copy process — no files are retained after the transfer. Follow the steps outlined [here](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/storage/common/storage-account-create?toc=%2Fazure%2Fstorage%2Fblobs%2Ftoc.json&bc=%2Fazure%2Fstorage%2Fblobs%2Fbreadcrumb%2Ftoc.json&tabs=azure-portal#create-a-storage-account) to create a Storage Account. Make sure its location matches the location of your Microsoft SQL Server database. Once the Storage Account is created: - Open the **Storage Account**. - Navigate to **Security + Networking → Access Keys**. - Click **Show**, then copy the **Connection string**. ![image (15)-1](https://help.intentwise.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image%20(15)-1.png?width=644&height=62&name=image%20(15)-1.png) Once storage account is created, Please run the below commands. - CREATE MASTER KEY ENCRYPTION BY PASSWORD = '**YourStrongPassword1**' . Replace YourStrongPassword1 with a strong password. (This is a one-time setup — **no need to share the password with us**.). - GRANT CONTROL ON DATABASE::**database\_name** TO intentwise\_user; -- Replace database\_name with the actual database name you created. 8. Now, log in to the Intentwise platform and navigate to **Foundation → My Connections → My Data Destinations**. All fields will be pre-populated.
