FAQs on Amazon's SPP (Solution Provider Portal)

Learn how Amazon's Solution Provider Portal (SPP) affects agencies, Intentwise connections, and user permissions.

What is the Amazon Solution Provider Portal (SPP)?

The Amazon Solution Provider Portal (SPP) is a new interface designed to streamline the management of Amazon accounts for solution providers like Intentwise. It enhances security, improves user management, and consolidates account connections.

How does this affect agencies?

SPP affects agencies by requiring them to create a single SPP account rather than individual accounts for each client. Agencies must create an SPP account to retain access to Seller Central (SC) or Vendor Central (VC) accounts. Going forward, all SC or VC console invitations will need to be sent as "Authorized Partners." This requirement only applies to console access — API access remains unaffected.

If you're an agency, you'll need to register as a service provider here: Amazon SP-API Service Provider Registration. You can also reach out to Amazon support for further assistance.

Does this affect my connection to Intentwise?

No, your connection to Intentwise remains active. Intentwise migrated to SPP in 2024 and has been operating smoothly since then, with no impact on existing account setup or any API access provided to Intentwise.

We are working with Amazon to evaluate any potential effects on new account additions for console access post-August 2025. While we expect some changes to our current access process, we'll keep you updated as we learn more. We'll reach out if anything changes or if we need anything from you.

How do I transfer my connections to the portal?

You'll need to register as a service provider via the Amazon SP-API Service Provider Registration. Amazon will provide instructions for transitioning to the SPP. Once your accounts are moved, you may need to reconnect them in Intentwise. For detailed instructions, visit Amazon's documentation here.

Do I need to verify all my users?

Amazon may require user verification as part of the transition. Service provider account administrators can assign roles and permissions to control account access, ensuring tasks are delegated securely. For more details, refer to Amazon’s official documentation: User Permissions for Service Providers.
