Getting Started With Intentwise AI Gateway
Learn how to get started using Intentwise AI Gateway
Intentwise AI Gateway is a secure connector that lets your AI assistant — Claude, ChatGPT, or Microsoft Copilot — query the full Intentwise dataset in plain English. Once it's connected, you can ask for performance summaries, ROAS comparisons, wasted-spend audits, and forecast-vs-actual checks the same way you'd ask a teammate, and the assistant returns answers grounded in your real Amazon Ads, DSP, Seller Central, Vendor Central, and Search Query Performance data.
This guide walks you through the three things to do before you can ask your first question:
- Set up your Intentwise organization and connect data sources
- Connect AI Gateway to your AI assistant
- Run your first prompts
If you already have an Intentwise account with data flowing, skip to Step 2.
Step 1 — Set up your Intentwise organization
New customers
- Sign up at app.intentwise.com/signup. Complete the form, verify your email, and set your password.
- Go to Global Settings → Account Management → Accounts.
- Click Add Account for each data source you want to query: - Amazon Sponsored Ads - Amazon DSP - Seller Central - Vendor Central
- Authorize each connection and confirm it's enabled as a data source.
Most accounts begin returning queryable data within 1–2 hours of authorization. Backfill of historical data continues for up to 24 hours.
Existing customers
If you already have an Intentwise account, no setup is required here — your existing data sources are automatically available through AI Gateway.
Step 2 — Connect AI Gateway to your AI assistant
Pick the AI assistant you use and follow its setup guide:
| Assistant | Plan requirements | Setup guide |
|---|---|---|
| Claude.ai | Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise | Set up Claude.ai |
| ChatGPT | Plus, Team, or Enterprise | Set up ChatGPT |
| Microsoft Copilot | Copilot Studio license | Set up Microsoft Copilot |
The connection details are the same across all three:
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| MCP Server URL | https://mcp.intentwise.com/mcp/ |
| Authentication | OAuth |
Each user signs in with their own Intentwise credentials, so access is automatically scoped to the accounts and permissions they already have.
Step 3 — Run your first prompts
Once connected, start a new chat and try these to confirm everything works:
- "How did my ads do last month?"
- "What are my top campaigns by ROAS?"
- "How does this week compare to last week?"
If you get a clean answer with numbers, you're set. Keep prompts conversational — the assistant has your data and a semantic layer that knows the metrics, so you don't need to spell out lookback windows or thresholds.
What data AI Gateway can answer questions about
| Source | What's available |
|---|---|
| Amazon Ads | Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, Sponsored TV — campaigns, ad groups, keywords, search terms, products, placements, and budgets |
| Amazon DSP | Orders, line items, creatives, audiences, new-to-brand metrics |
| Seller Central | Orders, returns, FBA inventory, traffic, conversion, and revenue by ASIN |
| Vendor Central | Shipped revenue, purchase orders, forecasts, Retail Analytics |
| Search Query Performance | Impressions, clicks, cart adds, purchases, and share of voice by query |
The full data schema is documented at docs.intentwise.com/ecommerce-graph.
What to ask next
Once you've confirmed the connection works, the AI Gateway Use Case Library is the fastest way to find a prompt for what you actually want to do. It's organized by outcome — save money, grow smarter, agency / multi-account views, and build dashboards and decks — with copy-paste prompts, what to expect back, and follow-ups for each.
A few to try first:
- "Which keywords are burning money with no sales?"
- "Which products are about to stock out but still running ads?"
- "Which of my campaigns keep hitting their budget cap?"
