How to activate the Amazon Retail Purchases dataset in Amazon

Learn how to activate the Amazon Retail Purchases dataset for the Customer Lifetime Value (CLTV) Dashboard in AMC

The Customer Lifetime Value (CLTV) dashboard, which uses a 5-year lookback window, relies on a paid dataset in Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC) called “Amazon Retail Purchases.”

You’ll need to subscribe to this dataset before activating the CLTV dashboard. Follow the steps below to get started:

Step 1: Log in to Amazon AdsGo to advertising.amazon.com and sign in to your account.

Step 2: Access Amazon Marketing CloudFrom the left-hand navigation panel, select “Measurement & Reporting” and then click “Amazon Marketing Cloud.”

Step 3: Open the Paid Features TabIn the AMC interface, navigate to the “Paid Features (Beta)” tab. You’ll find the Amazon Retail Purchases dataset listed there.

Step 4: Start a Free Trial (Optional)Click “Get a 60-day free trial” to instantly activate a trial of the dataset for 60 days.

Step 5: Subscribe Without a TrialIf you prefer to subscribe directly, click “See Options” on the top right corner of the dataset card.

Step 6: Choose a Billing SourceOn the subscription activation page, select the Billing Source — the Ads account that will be billed for the dataset.

Step 7: Accept Terms and SubscribeCheck the box to accept the terms, then click “Subscribe.”

Step 8: Verify Subscription StatusAmazon typically takes up to one day to activate your subscription. Once active, you can review your subscriptions and their statuses under “Your Subscriptions” within the Paid Datasets tab.
