Intentwise AI Gateway Setup Guide for Claude.ai

Everything you need to connect your Claude.ai to your Amazon data, personalize your experience, and start generating reports using Intentwise AI Gateway.

Connect Claude.ai to your Intentwise data so you can ask questions about Amazon Ads, DSP, Seller Central, Vendor Central, and Search Query Performance in plain English — and get answers grounded in your real numbers.

Setup takes about 3 minutes.


Before you start

You'll need:

  • A Claude.ai Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise plan. Free Claude accounts can't add custom connectors.
  • Your Intentwise login credentials.
  • Team and Enterprise only: an organization admin to add the connector once for the whole team. After that, each member connects their own Intentwise account.

The trailing slash on the MCP Server URL is required. Connections without it will fail.


Setup — Claude.ai Team or Enterprise

This path has two parts: a one-time admin step that makes the connector available to the whole org, then a per-user step where each member signs in with their Intentwise credentials.

Part 1 — Admin (one-time, whole team)

  1. Click your profile icon in the top-right of Claude.ai and select Organization settings.
  2. In the left menu, click Connectors.
  3. Click Add Custom Connector at the bottom of the page.
  4. Enter: - Name: Intentwise - Server URL: https://mcp.intentwise.com/mcp/
  5. Click Save.

Once saved, Intentwise appears in the connector list for every member of the organization.

Part 2 — Each team member

  1. Click your profile icon in the top-right of Claude.ai and select Settings → Connectors.
  2. Find Intentwise in the list (marked Custom) and click Connect.
  3. Sign in with your Intentwise credentials and authorize the connection.

Setup — Claude.ai Pro or Max

Individual Pro and Max users add the connector directly to their own account.

  1. Click your profile icon in the top-right of Claude.ai and select Settings → Connectors.
  2. Click Add Custom Connector at the bottom of the page.
  3. Enter: - Name: Intentwise - Server URL: https://mcp.intentwise.com/mcp/
  4. Click Save, then click Connect.
  5. Sign in with your Intentwise credentials and authorize the connection.

Using the connector in Claude.ai

  1. Start a new conversation.
  2. Click the + button at the bottom-left of the input box.
  3. Select Connectors, then toggle Intentwise on for the conversation.
  4. Ask your question.

Try these to verify everything works:

Troubleshooting

Issue Resolution
Intentwise isn't visible in Settings → Connectors (Team/Enterprise) Your org admin hasn't added the custom connector yet. Share this article and ask them to complete the steps under Setup — Team or Enterprise → Part 1.
"Connection failed" or "Server unreachable" Confirm the MCP URL ends with a trailing slash (/mcp/, not /mcp).
Sign-in window doesn't appear Allow popups for claude.ai in your browser and click Connect again.
"No data returned" Open Intentwise and confirm at least one Amazon Ads, DSP, Seller Central, or Vendor Central source is connected and has finished its first sync.
Claude doesn't seem to use the connector Confirm the Intentwise toggle is on in the + → Connectors menu for that conversation. Toggles are per-conversation, not global.
