What are instructional queries?

Amazon Marketing Cloud's (AMC) instructional queries provide pre-written SQL code that AMC users can use as is or modify for common measurement and analytics tasks.

New To Brand Purchases

The New To Brand Purchases query is designed to measure the impact of your campaigns in terms of generating new-to-brand (NTB) purchases. It provides insights into the percentage of ad-attributed purchases that are new-to-brand versus repeat purchases, helping you understand the effectiveness of your campaigns in acquiring new customers.

The query results show the campaigns that attracted the highest percentage of new-to-brand purchases and sales. This indicates campaign types that are particularly effective at bringing in new customers. In the example shown below, you can see that the SD-NTB Audience Drones campaign has driven the highest number of NTB Purchases.

To use this query effectively, your ASINs must be tracked to campaigns, and the campaigns should ideally target both new and existing customers. By analyzing the data returned by this query, you can gain valuable insights into your campaigns' performance in driving new customer acquisitions.
