Instances Explained

AMC instances are secure, dedicated environments in Amazon Marketing Cloud where advertisers can analyze their data alongside Amazon Ads data using custom queries while maintaining privacy compliance.

The Instances screen in Intentwise Explore has all your instance-related information. Whether you need to add your existing instance(s) or request a new one, this screen allows you to manage and review your instances seamlessly.

Connecting Instances to Intentwise Explore

In this article, you’ll learn how to set up an AMC instance in Intentwise, authorize advertising accounts, and onboard existing instances. This guide simplifies the process, reducing errors and delays.

This is relevant for advertisers using Amazon Marketing Cloud and Intentwise users with appropriate permissions for Sponsored Ads or DSP accounts.

Steps for Setting Up New Instances

  1. Navigate to the Instances page in Intentwise Explore.

  2. Click Add Instance to start the setup process.

  3. Authorize your Sponsored Ads and DSP accounts by following the on-screen instructions. Tip: Log into Amazon with the correct account name first.

  4. After authorization, a list of accessible Sponsored Ads advertisers and DSP accounts will appear.

  5. Select the accounts you wish to add (Sponsored Ads, DSP, or both) and add instance name(s). Instance name should not have spaces or any special characters.

Note: You must select at least one Sponsored Ads advertiser, one DSP advertiser, or both to proceed with instance creation.

  6. Submit your request.

After you submit the request, instances will be created within 48 hours. You'll be able to see the status of your instance requests in the "Pending Instance Request" tab.

Filters and Other Capabilities

You can easily manage your Instances using filters and other capabilities, such as:

  • Filter Instances by name or status (enabled, paused, archived).

  • Export your Instance list as a CSV or Excel file.

  • Customize your table view by clicking on 'Columns.'
